The third episode, titled "Let the Sheep Flee," of the Apple TV+ miniseries "Manhunt" took me forever to recap! There are so many little things, and I know it's just getting more confusing by the episode based on some of the feedback I've received.
This recap will hopefully help you connect the pieces, but I also have included some information on what really happened when it comes to some of the people & events shown in this episode. Off to work on Episode 4!

Author's note: While the miniseries is proving to be a great watch, I have to also recommend the book it's based on. "Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln's Killer" by James L. Swanson has been a favorite of mine since it came out. It reads like a murder mystery, and if you choose the Audible version, I prefer the version read by Richard Thomas.
